When will I receive my secure payment? Who is Stripe payments?
Our fast, flexible payment system puts money in your bank account daily, on a seven day rolling basis. Purposs will send total sales invoices to Sellers weekly or monthly. Sellers choose which method they prefer. Purposs uses Stripe to process its payments for Sellers. Stripes other clients include the Alberta Treasury Branch and Shopify. What does the phrase "Pay it Forward" mean?
Pay-it-forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor. Guests can show goodwill towards others by taking care of their bill for them. Having a new tool that helps you maximize your revenues is a good thing for any business. If you as a business owner value a profitable customer acquisition strategy that builds your brand, increases sales, and shows your community that you care; then joining Purposs as a Seller or Vendor is your solution.

What do I need to do to become a Seller?
How it works for Sellers?
No Installation, No Hardware, No Commitment.
1. Download our app.
2. Complete your business profile.
3. The goods & services you offer at your business are prepaid through the app.
4. You receive a notification of the payment via email, text and in the future, possibly by dove and stork.
5. You fulfill the order to the customer when they come in or you go to them. It's that simple.
6. When you sign up to become a Seller on Purposs, Buyers are putting good faith and trust in your company to deliver the product or service to the end consumer. Join the mission.
7. Consumers will then rate and review this new customer experience via social media.
Note: All Sellers & Vendors are required to ask recipients for the proper ID if their local law warrants it. This means card anyone redeeming a voucher or coupon on adult items.
Can I delete a reviews?
No. You can’t change or remove any review you received from another Purposs community member.
We believe in free speech, transparency, and clear communication. Our community is built on trust, and trust comes from honest conversation. Therefore, Purposs's default position is not to censor, edit, or delete reviews.
How do reviews work?
All the reviews on Purposs are written by Buyers and gift recipients from our community, so any review you see is based on the interaction & customer experience the Recipient had when redeeming or being surprised at the Sellers business.
When can a Buyer cancel a purchase?
Yes. It is up to the Seller to provide the product or service they offer on Purposs to the Buyer in a timely manner consistent with the description listed on their store. Consumers terms are as follows. All sales are final, unless the Seller does not provide the product(s) or service(s) listed on their stores. Consumers may not return, cancel or redeem for cash any product or service after it is purchased, unless otherwise stated by law. If an item is unwanted it may be paid forward or transferred to another user on the Purposs platform.
How long does it take to get my business listed on the Purposs app?
Typically, it can take anywhere from 7-10 business days to get verified and get your store listed on the app.
Why do I need to have an Purposs profile or profile photo?
Your profile is a point of reference for others in the Purposs community. Visiting someone's profile is a great way to learn more about them. We want Buyers to be able to engage with Recipients and vice versa. Who knows, you may even find more common interests then you’ve expected.
Purposs is a community marketplace built on trust and safety, so we require all Sellers to have a profile photo, and we ask Buyers to upload a profile photo before gifting to Recipients. Buyers and Recipients prefer to engage with Sellers who have legitimate profile photos, complete profiles, and multiple verifications.
● When your profile is robust, it helps others feel that you're reliable, authentic, and committed to the spirit of Purposs. Whether you're a Seller or a Buyer, the more complete your profile, the more trust will be earned in the community.
● For a great profile, be sure to include:
● At least one profile photo
● Multiple verifications and a Verified ID
● A description of at least 50 words highlighting why you decided to join the Purposs community, your interests or hobbies, or anything else you think someone would want to know.
What is Sellers Verified ID?
We created the Sellers Verified ID process to build trust in our community and give Buyers more information when they're deciding which Sellers location to Pay-It-Forward at.
What to Expect
Sellers Verified ID connects your Purposs profile with other sources of information about you. While you're completing the Sellers Verified ID process, you might be asked to:
Take a photo or upload an image of your government-issued ID, such as your driver's license or passport. Connect another online profile to your Purposs account, such as a Facebook, Google, or LinkedIn account, Lastly, Take a photo or upload an image of your government issued - business operators license. Upload your Seller profile photo and provide a phone number and email address.
Expect to pay an annual fee of $6.99 for this. This ensures the Buyers that your business is still in operation. *Fee is waived for the first 100 Sellers signed up.
Where to Start
Earn the Sellers Verified ID Badge
When you've completed Sellers Verified ID, you'll earn a Verified badge on your profile. Many Buyers and consumers look for this badge when deciding whether to pay it forward at your location:
Buyers and consumers alike tell us they find Verified ID useful when deciding which Sellers to do business with on Purposs, but it's not an endorsement or guarantee.
Is verifying my ID secure?
When we receive information from your driver’s license or passport, we store the number in a secure and encrypted form, so you should only have to verify your ID once. For countries with knowledge-based authentication, we don't store the questions or your answers.
Only a small number of authorized Purposs employees are allowed access to your original documentation for troubleshooting or internal purposes.
Alternatively, we may ask you to provide the following:
Contact Name: If multiple people will be actively managing this account, please provide all names here. For example, John Smith (marketing) & Jane Smith (operations).
Official Email: Your contact email can be, but does not have to be the same as your account email. If possible, this should be hosted by the same domain as your business website. For example, if your business website is www.example.com, a matching email address would be firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: Email addresses not from the official web domain of the business will require additional steps toward verification and may take longer to process.
Contact Phone: This is the phone number we may use to contact you to clarify any information needed to verify your account.
Business Name: If this the business owned and operated by a parent company, please include that information here as well as the name of the business you are verifying.
Once you submit the verification request form, it may take up to a week for it to be processed. We will review your request to ensure your account complies with our guidelines and verify your authority to represent the business. We will contact you by email if we find any questions or problems, and will let you know once your account is verified.
Once a month we will ask you to verify your business’s status via text and email. Pin required to verify your still around.
Please follow these guidelines when entering your address:
Enter the complete and exact street address for your location. For example: “12345- 80 street , Edmonton, AB, T5C1R8".
*Make sure you include a city, state/province, zip/postal code and country in your address.
Strict Policy- Only exact physical address locations will be accepted.
Phone calls from Purposs
Unfortunately, not all phone calls from people claiming to be associated with Purposs are legitimate. You may receive a phone call from Purposs to confirm business details for listing within the app or a call from a Purposs account representative whom you’ve spoken with before.
Purposs does not:
1. charge for inclusion in Purposs app listings.
2. offer to improve your search ranking or manage your business’s online profile.
3. ask you for your password or verification code. You should never provide sensitive information about your account (like your password and verification code) to a caller.
If you receive a robocall—a call placed with a recorded voice—for any of the above reasons, it is not from Purposs.
All professional service providers must go through the verification process. Approval may take 7-10 business days.
